Questions
Does this replace an approved evacuation scheme?
No. If your building needs an evacuation scheme, it must be approved by Fire and Emergency New Zealand. This pack keeps the practical information wardens and staff need in one place.
What does it cover?
Emergency contacts, a warden roster, key locations such as shut-offs and the assembly point, an evacuation scheme checklist, steps for common emergencies, an incident log and an after-storm exterior check.
How often should I update it?
At least once a year, and whenever contacts or wardens change. Keep printed copies at reception and with each warden.
